WaterColor Plans to Expand
The WaterColor Community has enjoyed growth as word has gotten out about this charming resort town that is nestled along the Scenic 30-A Corridor of Florida’s panhandle. With it’s 15th year currently under way, the community’s need for expanded amenity services to comfortably accommodate it’s peak season resort residents and guests spurred a discussion that began in late 2013. With lots of planning and permitting needed to get these expansion ideas off the ground, the Community went to work with the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Committee and in July 2015 a committee was formed to work with the architecture firm on the details of the Beach Club Expansion, as well as, an expansion of the Camp WaterColor pool.
Camp WaterColor Additions & Expansion
The WaterColor Community has plans for a newly redesigned Camp WaterColor pool that will triple the size of the existing pool and will be able to accommodate families of all ages. Offering zero-entry pool access, similar to the gentle slope of the beach, the pool will provide easy access for everyone in the family to enjoy. Inclusive of a large splash pad with interactive dancing water jets for the younger kids, and a water slide to keep the older kids entertained, this pool was designed with families in mind!
WaterColor Beach Club Additions & Expansion
With plans approved to triple the current pool surface area of the WaterColor Beach Club, the addition of two resort-style pools, expanded pool deck seating and sunbathing areas, as well as, two new pool deck cabanas, the expansion will improve the guest experience and better meet demand during peak season. With aesthetics in mind, the thoughtfully designed pool decks will be terraced to provide unobstructed emerald views of the Gulf. Featuring expanded capacity on all levels, the Beach Club will offer an enhanced poolside food service, an enlarged main dining room, an indoor/outdoor dining area on the mid-level deck with seating for 150, and a pizza kitchen bar on the top level featuring shaded lounge-style seating and an increased panoramic Gulf view. The Beach Club will offer a newly designed welcome area featuring a new guest reception space for an overall improved arrival experience.
Planned renovations will solidify the WaterColor Beach Club as the largest and most thoughtfully designed beach club found along Highway 30-A. With the long-term in mind, a predicted increase in property values and rental income potential are promising, preserving WaterColor’s standings as a leading community along Scenic 30-A. Real estate values in WaterColor have averaged at around $1.5 million for a single-family detached home and have increased by 13 percent from the previous year. This investment in resort amenities will improve the long-term viability of the WaterColor Community’s rental market and should increase property values while also decreasing the length of time homes remain on the market.
